Sigma 2018: Data Science: The Building Blocks of Gaming AI
Igor Samardziski is the founder and the CEO of Nexus Gaming Intelligence and gave an interesting talk at the DGaming conference at Sigma Summit 2018 on 30th November 2018. Sigma Summit 2018 welcomed 12,500 attendees from the iGaming industry. His talk was titled, Data Science: The Building Blocks of Gaming AI and focused on using data science to understand what drives customer experience.
Mr. Samardziski describes the role of data science in an iGaming environment, being that it must realize why clients keep on playing and what motivates clients. This concept is not rare in the field of data science as many companies are trying to uncover and predict likeliness that a client will churn (stop playing). Data scientists discover the game changers which encourage the client to deposit more money or to withdraw this money and stop playing completely.
There are a lot of factors which contribute to these findings. Data Scientists have highlighted factors such as time on device and determination to win which can be found to have a high correlation to the client playing rate. Mr. Samardziski states that deep mining machine learning and other AI algorithms can help keep players interested in the game and motivated to keep playing.
